Mr. Moorthi joined National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management, Chennai in November 2022 as a Technical Engineer. Prior to this appointments, he also served as IT Specialist at Centre for Sponsored Research and Consultancy, Department of Chemical Engineering, Anna University, Chennai and Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He earned his Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University, Master degree in Computer Applications from Bharathidasan University. Mr.Moorthi has more than 9 years (full-time) professional experience in Information Technology, which includes 8.5 years Anna University, Chennai and 1.3 years Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras.
 
He has experienced information technology specialist with a demonstrated working history in the higher education industry, with a focus on project management, System Administration, IT Infrastructure Management, team development, and operational needs. He has started his first career as a Project Associate at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India in 2012. In July 2014, Moorthi.C joined Anna University, Chennai, India, as a System Specialist in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He also served as a Technical Analyst in State Project Directorate, Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai, during July 2019.

His interest has been majorly in the area of IT infrastructure, IT security, and High performance computing, helping organization in achieving automation at back office of the Institute and also has a keen interest in IT infrastructure management process. He has more than 9 years of experience in the system development process using various technologies. Mr.Moorthi also Maintain the IT Infrastructure Project of the Institute where the revamping the University as well Departmental is under way.

Moorthi.C has won the First Rank Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Subjects, the highest recognition conferred by Bharathidasan University to individual student for Ranking. He has won the Best Student Award of Department of Computer Science three years consecutively-2006, 2007, and 2008. Mr.Moorthi’s research interests include Cyber Security, Web Security, Network Security, Application Security, and High Performance Computing.
